TL;DR
Increase TEMP Trading Liquidity to 500k BNT from 100k BNT
Background
TEMP was whitelisted on February 9th, 2022, with an overwhelming response of 54% quorum and 76.2% ‘FOR’ votes.
Since the most recent whitelisting, Tempus has launched on the Fantom network and currently has approx $14m TVL. Additionally, the TEMP token was also whitelisted on SpookySwap (Fantom) and is being actively traded on there now. Finally, we have updated our documentation with an overview of our roadmap for 2022 and beyond.
Trading Liquidity Limit Increase Justification
The TEMP-BNT pool has already amassed ~$446k (as of 28 February 2022) of liquidity, which means there is insufficient balance in the pool. Clearly, our community has more demand to participate in the Bancor pool. An increase in trading liquidity limit to 500k BNT will bring it closer in line with the liquidity available on other DEXs, enabling Bancor to strengthen the partnership with Tempus and continue to grow Bancor’s TVL.
Nothing has been agreed just yet, we will need to take a community vote on this (#soon), but there is still a good amount of TEMP on the sidelines, so there should be enough “organic demand” to fill the capacity once increased.
Hey Bancorians! This is David, co-founder of Tempus. In my opinion this capacity increase is really needed to make the Bancor pool competitive with our Uniswap, Balancer, and Spookyswap pools, which are already well capitalized. We’re pushing through a proposal via Tempus governance to fund the AMM with $750k in TEMP, which we expect to pass before voting on this proposal ends. Thanks for your support!
GM Bancor community! I’m Josh, the BD Lead at Tempus. Just wanted to echo the views already shared above - there is clearly great demand from our community to participate in the Bancor pool and this liquidity limit increase is much needed to facilitate that. We’d also love to enhance our long term cooperation with Bancor. We would be grateful for your support!
GM all - this is Dhruv, BD manager at Tempus. Given our community is keen to further participate in the Bancor pool, I agree with David’s and Josh’s view that the capacity increase is needed. Many thanks for your support!
