# Proposal: Disable deposits on AXS

This proposal is expected to appear on Snapshot for voting on 2022-04-02T23:00:00Z. Make sure to stake your vBNT for voting before this date and time to participate in the DAO decision.

To pass, this proposal needs a quorum of 35% and 66.7% FOR votes.

# TL;DR

- Axie Infinity has suffered from a [social engineering](https://twitter.com/Psycheout86/status/1509134627319033863) attack.
- The attackers took 173,600 ETH and 25.5M USDC.
- Deposits in the AXS pool were immediately disabled. This proposal seeks to confirm the DAO’s intent to disable deposits. A proposal to re-enable them in the future will be posted.

# Voting Instructions

- To disable deposits temporarily on AXS, vote FOR this proposal.
- To allow the AXS pool to continue accepting liquidity, vote AGAINST.
- You may ABSTAIN to help reach quorum, without making a decision one way or another.

They didn’t take any AXS or Axies that I’m aware off though right?

Seems like its all locked at the moment.

I would very support support enabling deposits once we see that all is clear.

Yeah this is just as precaution in case more funds (namely AXS) are taken as part of the attack. We can aim to enable deposits in a couple weeks to follow DAO process.
